Welcome to alche{ME} Designs. By engaging our web design and development services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read these terms carefully, as they outline the expectations and responsibilities of both alche{ME} Designs (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”) and you, the client (referred to as “you” or “client”).

1. Services Provided

alche{ME} Designs specializes in web design and development services, including but not limited to custom website creation, website updates, SEO optimization, and e-commerce solutions. Specific deliverables will be outlined in the project proposal or contract.

2. Payment Policies

2.1 Payment Schedule

Payments for services are divided into milestones as follows:

  • Deposit: A non-refundable deposit is required upfront to secure the project start date and begin work. The deposit applies to the total cost of the project.
  • Mid-Project Payment: Half of the remaining total project cost is due upon approval of the initial designs or at the halfway point of the project timeline.
  • Final Payment: The remaining balance is due upon project completion and prior to the transfer of final files or website launch.


2.2 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Credit or debit cards
  • Bank transfers
  • Other agreed-upon methods as outlined in your contract


2.3 Late Payments

Payments are due within 10 days of receiving an invoice.

A late fee of 5% will be applied to invoices not paid within 30 days.

Work may be paused or delayed if payments are overdue, with notification provided to the client.


2.4 Payment Plans

Payment plans may be available for projects exceeding a certain value, subject to agreement between both parties. The project start date will only be confirmed after receipt of the first installment.

3. Refund Policy

3.1 Non-Refundable Deposit

All deposits are non-refundable, as they secure your project start date and cover initial work, including consultations, research, and planning.


3.2 Refunds During Project

Refunds for payments beyond the deposit will be considered based on project progress:

  • Before Work Begins: Full refund of payments made beyond the deposit.
  • Early Stages: Partial refund based on the proportion of work completed at the time of cancellation.
  • After Significant Work: No refunds will be issued once substantial progress has been made.


3.3 Completed Projects

No refunds will be issued for completed and delivered projects.

4. Project Timelines and Revisions

4.1 Timelines

Project timelines will be outlined in the proposal or contract. Delays caused by the client (e.g., late feedback, delayed payments) may result in adjusted deadlines.


4.2 Revisions

Our packages include up to 1 rounds of revisions. Additional revisions beyond the included rounds will be billed at an hourly rate.

5. Client Responsibilities

  • Provide timely feedback, content, and any required assets to avoid delays.
  • Ensure that content provided is owned by you or properly licensed for use.
  • Review deliverables and provide approval or requested changes promptly.

6. Ownership and Intellectual Property

  • Final deliverables become the client’s property once all payments are received in full.
  • Until full payment is made, alche{ME} Designs retains ownership of all work produced.
  • Any third-party licenses (e.g., stock images, plugins) remain the property of their respective owners and may require renewal by the client.

7. Scope of Work and Additional Charges

  • The scope of work is outlined in the project proposal or contract.
  • Any changes or additions outside the agreed scope will be subject to additional charges, which will be quoted and agreed upon before proceeding.

8. Termination of Services

Either party may terminate the agreement with written notice. Refunds or payments due will be determined based on the refund policy and the work completed up to the termination date.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • alche{ME} Designs is not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from the use of the services provided.
  • We are not responsible for issues caused by third-party services (e.g., hosting providers or plugins) or for client misuse of the website post-delivery.

10. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep project details, proprietary information, and sensitive data confidential, unless otherwise authorized in writing.

11. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Washington state. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with these laws.

12. Agreement
